My state of mind before finding a program that worked was a frumpy middle-aged woman feeling! I wanted to feel great and look great for my age! I used to drive back and forth to the gym and not get the results I was looking for. I have struggled with my body image since I was a teenager. I really was not comfortable in my own skin until age 40 when everything changed!
I sat on the sofa and watch the infomercial for P90X. I wanted to see if this was the answer to getting in better shape and having more energy. I was skeptical but, curious enough to try something new and see if it works. It worked better than 20 years of going to a gym! (www.youpushplay.com to check it out).
I was amazed how fast my body was responding. Every 3 months I took my pictures and I was in shock at the results! It was from day 60 to 90 that had the biggest impact on me. I had freedom with my body for the first time in my life! The results and feeling spilled over into other aspects of my life too.
I no longer think about my food or my weight. I went down three sizes and reshaped my body for good. I have had a stable weight for 3 years now, great abs and best of all I can walk on the beach in a bikini with no cover up! FREEDOM and total body confidence for the first time in my life.
I do make healthy choices every day, I eat small meals throughout the day, and I love Shakeology to manage my weight and health. (www.shakeology.com/suzx) I use basic supplements to fill in the gaps. (Omega 3, calcium, and a multi-vitamin). I also only workout I hour or less a day to maintain my fitness. I constantly change up my routine to keep my body guessing and avoid hitting a plateau.
My biggest challenge is getting enough water. I do have to remind myself to drink more water! I feel younger and better now than I ever did in my life.
